A little bit about me…

I'm a middle-aged Canadian guy with thinning hair on the top of my head and a belly which sticks out a bit more than I’m comfortable with. I do have a pretty cool beard and some awesome tattoos, though… so that’s something.

I’ve always enjoyed working with people, and grew up working first in restaurants, then in sales for different companies. I spent the final years of my ‘traditional’ career as a sales trainer and manager.

My first book was a little parable-style book about customer service called the Gold Apples. I self published that and filled my garage with paper copies because e-books were not quite a thing yet.

Most self-published books don’t pay for themselves. The Gold Apples did. My plan was to write a second book and continue working with mid-sized companies to improve their customer service.

As I was getting ready to write book two, in my mind I saw a teen-aged girl and boy. They were immersed in a virtual reality Game, and (although no one but me knew it) their real world was relying on them to save all of humanity. I started to write the Game, sharing chapters on a blog each day as I finished them. I didn’t know how or why, but I had this feeling that people were gonna find my story, like it, and share it with their friends and family. I wrote book 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Game in twelve months. I don’t know how or why, but people found my story and liked it- and they shared it with their friends and family.

I’ve been a full-time author for the past seven years now, and keep writing stories in hopes that people who liked the Game will give my other stuff and try and like it as well. I’ve written 9 books in The Game (and more to come), along with three other trilogies and have begun writing a couple more stories in new worlds as well.

Over a million of my books have been downloaded and read in more countries than I can count all over the world. A couple of my series are available in audiobook format and I’ve been approached to expand into even more mediums which are in the works as you read this. I've written a decent amount of books so far, but I’m just getting started. I have so many ideas that they’ll never be all written, but I plan on writing some interesting tales in 2021 and sharing them with readers who are interested in visiting the worlds that I find so intriguing .
